FAQ's
This page will cover the questions we get the most. These are things everyone wonders but doesn't always ask. Think of this as a quick guide to help further clarify our process, our studio and what to expect for your appointment.

01
How do I book with an artist?
Generally we consider projects once prospective clients fill out our Booking Request Form on our "Tattoo Requests" page. From there, depending on availability and stylistic fit, a member of our shop will reach out shortly to set up a consultation. During the consult our artists will discuss the process in further detail. Once the deposit is secured, we will officially lock you in for a tattoo session at Sunstone.
02
Do you accept every request?
No. There are over a thousand tattoo artists between Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver alone. We want to find the best fit for you. Our artists will review all requests then take the time to communicate with you directly. If your ideas are a good fit for our studio, we would happily walk you through the remainder of the booking process.

03
How much are your deposits?
Our policy at Sunstone requires a 35% down deposit for your quoted price to secure a session with our artists. Deposits are non-refundable and go towards the total cost of your session, not added on top of the quote. Please refer to our deposit policy for any additional clarity.
04
Do you tattoo minors?
Long story short, NO we do not tattoo minors. There are many other shops in the area that will happily accommodate you and your family. Sunstone Tattoo policy is 18+.

05
Can I bring a friend or guest with me?
We allow one guest at the workstation for support if needed, with a maximum of two guests total in the studio. As a private studio, we prioritize a calm, focused environment, so we ask that guests are respectful of the place and the process.
06
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and electronic payments through our secure payment system. Deposits are collected separately to secure appointments and are applied according to our deposit policy.

07
Can I see my design before my appointment?
Designs are typically presented 1-2 days before your appointment during your "creative window". Because of the sheer volume of appointments being worked on at any given time, each project's creative process starts closer to the appointment date. This allows us to build the piece with proper flow, placement and scale specifically for your body.

Minor adjustments can be made at the time of your appointment, but major concept changes may require rescheduling.
08
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Get a good night's sleep, eat a solid meal beforehand, moisturize the area daily leading up to the appointment, and stay well hydrated. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior, and wear clean, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. You are more than welcome to bring headphones, snacks, anything that helps you to stay relaxed during a longer session is always encouraged.
